The DOCG Prosecco zone of Conegliano - Valdobbiadene comprises of only 15 municipalities and has a surface area of 18 thousand hectares. The vines are nurtured on the hill slopes that receive the most sun at an altitude of between 50 and 500 metres above sea level.

The Cartizze micro-zone is situated at the very heart of the DOCG area: 107 hectares of vineyards in the territory of the Municipality of Valdobbiadene, including the steepest hills of S. Pietro di Barbozza, S. Stefano and Saccol. The “G” that has been added to the DOC mark obtained in 1969 is the recognition of over 40 years of work aimed at reaching a superior level of quality. G stands for Guaranteed.

There are three guarantors: The “Consorzio di Tutela” (Protection Consortium), that watches over production, Valoritalia (Italian Values), that certifies the wine and the Italian State, that affixes a number label to each bottle. The salmon-coloured label gives the greatest possible guarantee by being placed across the cork as a seal. Each label has an identification number that allows you to trace the bottle at any given moment: this number allows the consumer to look up the entire history of that particular wine.
